the leading platform for progressive advocacy and information about voting rights, elections, redistricting and democracy.
Created and published by Marc Elias, Democracy Docket shines a spotlight on voter suppression and offers expert opinion on how to fight it in all of its forms. It also provides detailed information about important litigation that will shape our elections, voting and democratic institutions for years to come.
At the occasion of the Democrat convention in August 2020, the platform rolled out a new identity developed by LexBlog, with “newer, brighter colors” and some new features.
The typography pairs well with the classic but bright color combination. Looking at the LexBlog website, I suspect they found a good designer or design team somewhere else. All body text is set with two weights of Rosart Ombré (Camelot), Katharina Köhler’s design based on type found in a 1768 specimen by the Flemish punchcutter Jean François Rosart.
