The Lijadu Sisters were an Afrobeat group active in the 1970s and early 1980s. Originally from Nigeria, this album — their last — was recorded in London in 1979 and released on the Afrodisia label in Nigeria. The band name uses hand-rendered Orbit, contoured and with added shadow. The album title seems to be lettered without reference to a typeface.

Though the artwork designer is not listed, the artwork was printed by Poatson Graphic Arts Trade Ltd., who printed a number of other well-known Nigerian Afrobeat LPs. Horizon Unlimited was re-released in 2019 and is available for purchase on Bandcamp.

  1. In 1984, the album was re-released in the United States as Double Trouble with new artwork. On the re-release, the group name typography of the original was recreated.

  2. Totally unrelated as per the typography, but this album is really really good.
