Game Changers 2018, Aalto University

For the first time Aalto University wanted to hold an exhibition featuring the best graduate works of the year (2018) from the six different schools that comprise the university.

The design brief insisted on a visual cohesiveness that would emphasis the unity of the different schools coming together to form Aalto University, and also recognize that after nine years all the different schools of the university will be primarily located on the same campus.

It was also mandated that the main visual elements of the design follow the brand guidelines of the university. As such, the colours, icons, and the principal typeface were directly taken from existing graphic elements of the brand.

Nimbus Sans serves as the primary typeface used throughout the exhibition, while the title of the vertical banners are set in Impact partly due to its weight and condensend nature which can accommodate long titles.
