Three historical texts—recorded between 1863 and 1904—show the change in Pratteln, Switzerland, from a wine-growing village to an industrial location. The historical texts are complemented by contemporary commentaries and explanations.

Pratteln an der Schwelle zur Moderne was edited by Matthias Manz & René Salathé and published by Verlag des Kantons Basel-Landschaft in November 2020.
