Poster designed by Stephanie Specht using Aldiviva Autunno by Victor Gérard. According to the artist, the poster is –

about finding a balance between trust and thruth in these times. I am trying to only read the news once a week to avoid ‘mind attacks’. From tomorrow on, shops open again in Belgium and while it is a positive thing for the economy, I find it hard to start participating in that world again. Going to crowded places or shops freaks me out. I try to buy online as much as possible from local shops.

In some situations in the supermarkets it feels like the virus does not exists, people already act ‘normal’ again and forget to keep distance and in other situations you feel the unseen anxiety. When I am out in nature, where there’s no people around, it feels like we live in a bubble in the city. And then I wonder about how much anxiety we are getting ‘fed’ by news. And how much we need to trust our government, how much we rely on them telling us the truth. There’s a part of the North of Antwerp that they did not speak about (about how many patients there were) and that only popped up now. It drives me crazy. Eckhard Tolle wrote: ‘Accept – then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it.’ helps me live in the now and not worry about the future. If you are still reading this, thank you
