Growing Pains TV intro & credits
Growing Pains is “an American television sitcom created by Neal Marlens that aired on ABC from September 24, 1985, to April 25, 1992. The show ran for seven seasons, consisting of 166 episodes.” – Wikipedia
The images depicted here are from the Season 2 intro and outro of the show, but the first five seasons of the show all use the same two typefaces. The “Growing Pains” logo itself uses ITC Serif Gothic Bold, though the designer appears to have thinned out the letters somewhat. The a in “Pains” uses the two-storey form and the s descends below the baseline. These glyphs were included as alternates in the original phototype version. A black shadow has also been added.
The opening and closing credits both use Optima Bold, with black shadow added.

Any idea why they wold change the font for streaming? I recently purchased on iTunes and they fonts have all changed.
