Pilowlava is a typeface specially created by Jérémy Landes and Anton Moglia for Cercle magazine nº7 about volcanoes, the main topic of the annual magazine in 2019. Pilowlava is used for cover, openers, titles of the interviews, and quotes. A spread at the end of the magazine is dedicated to the font creation and how the designers have been inspired by the “volcanoes” theme. The standard typefaces used for the magazine are Wigrum and ITC Esprit.

  1. I forgot how funky ITC Esprit and especially its Black Italic can be! Good choice.
