Three Filmotype faces for the cover of Musical Stories Of Hans Christian Andersen: Thumbelina & The Ugly Duckling. Performed by Elliot Lawrence and His Orchestra and narrated By Del Sharbutt, featuring the Honneydreamers and the Peter Pan Players. The record was released in 1962 on Diplomat’s Rocking Horse series. The image shows a version with the Peter Pan label.

“Hans Christian Andersen” is in all-caps Giant. The titles show a two-color setting of Quentin. “Musical Stories Of” is probably in Fortune or the wider Fox, while Futura Condensed is used for the credits. The Peter Pan logo is based on Futura Display, with caps from regular-wide Futura.

  1. I examined a Filmotype specimen and noticed that “Musical Stories of” is set in Fox, not Fortune.

  2. Yes, that checks out.
