Desdemona Solid in use for Can You Feel Anything When I Do This?, a collection of fantasy and science fiction short stories by Robert Sheckley (1928–2005). First published by Doubleday, New York in December 1971, this is the jacket design for the British Science Fiction Book Club edition from 1973.

Originally cast by the Boston-based Dickinson Type Foundery as Quaint in 1886, in solid and open styles, the caps-only design was revived by Face Photosetting in London in the late 1960s, using the name Desdemona which the Karl Brendler foundry in Vienna had used for their version of Quaint Open. This, however, is Letraset’s revival, which is distinguished by an oval O and a simpler W where the middle legs don’t cross.
