The German Cyber Security Organization (Deutsche Cyber-Sicherheitsorganisation, DCSO) offers companies state-of-the-art security services. In contrast to other providers, DCSO develops cyber security products together in a community of leading German commercial enterprises, NGOs, and security authorities. The exchange of knowledge and experience within the community generates valuable synergy effects. In this way, each member contributes to DCSO’s purpose of protecting Europe’s values and economy in cyberspace.
Designstudio Helder developed a brand design system that visualizes the unique selling proposition and benefit in a simple but concise way. The key visual is the DCSO Dome, a protective sphere that, upon closer inspection, is composed of many parts representing the community members and their contribution to the collective impact. The main colors of blue and bright green give the appearance depth in keeping with the cyberspace in which DCSO operates. The secondary colors, which are assigned to the portfolio, pick up on the combination of muted primary color with bright accent color. The respective value propositions of the product portfolio were identified in joint digital workshops. This was the basis for the new naming system, which translates the concrete benefits of the respective service areas into calls to action: Connect, Defend, Improve. Icons were added to the service areas to support the message. The brand presence on the website was restructured to make it clearer. In addition, the brand storytelling was sharpened and integrated.
