Shatter in use for the poster to Súkromná vojna (“private war”), a Slovak drama set during World War II. Directed by Martin Hollý, the movie features Jan Kačer, Leopold Haverl, and Petr Čepek.

Poster designer Urbanová worked with collage, merging an old-fashioned telephone receiver, a clock face with Roman numerals, and a circular dial with Arabic numerals and Latin capitals, all shown on top of a posterized face.

The shattered letterforms of Vic Carless’s typeface design include some splinters, see for example B, H, J, M. Urbanová utilized this circumstance to subtly integrate the required diacritics: the thin wedges on U and A are her custom added acute accents, while the one on J is just part of the default glyph.
