Anchor’s ca. 1970 paperback edition of Erving Goffman’s The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life comes with a cover design by Jim Cook. Mike Daines’s Hawthorn can easily be distinguished from similar De Vinne interpretations by its single-story g.
The cover for the first edition was designed by George Giusti. Apart from the basic theme of two humans in conversation, shown in profile, the two approaches have little in common.
