ClipperCard (1979–2002)

Zipper (also known as ITC Zipper) was used for the ClipperCard branding. Introduced in November 1979 in Greater Manchester, it became hugely popular with the travelling public.
They were phased out in 2002 as more, modern, wheelchair access buses came into service and there was no room to include the ClipperCard ticket machine
ClipperCard ad on the 47, 48, 49 bus timetable which was issued on 1st September 1980.

The Museum of Transport Greater Manchester archive has a Saver Sales poster from April 1983 that lists the saver seven and the saver monthly (here in lowercase) next to several variations of the ClipperCard logo in Zipper, including TeenTravel.
