Énekelek, s táncot jár a hegy is the title of the Hungarian edition of Irene Solà’s novel Canto jo i la muntanya balla (2019, English: “I Sing and the Mountain Dances”). It was translated by Krisztina Nemes and published in 2021 by Magvető Kiadó.

The book jacket features a detail from The Unicorn Defends Himself (from the Unicorn Tapestries), reversed. The surface contains the thread sewings and the irregularities too, and this side is more colourful because it was less exposed to sun light. It reflects to the deeper layers of the book. Opening the book, the tapestry itself can be seen on the endpapers. The chosen typeface is Le Murmure.

The novel starts with the death of a farmer caused by lightning. It includes stories about mythical beings like water women, war, the survival of humans and wild animals, fanaticism, but also about beauty and goodness.

Irene Solà (b. 1990) is a Catalan writer. In 2020 she won the European Union Prize for Literature.
