Single cover

Serpiente Display Medium designed by Coco Lobinger and distributed by Type Department was used for the cover art and music video for “Stay Right Here” by Dives.

Dives is an all-female band from Vienna, consisting of the three band members Dora De Goederen, Tamara Leichtfried and Viktoria Kirner. After meeting in 2015 at a music week for women the three decided to meet up regularly in the rehearsal room as Dives.

Serpiente Display Medium is a display font with a morphology based on snakes. The organic forms quote the beauty and unpredictability of snakes as creatures, while breeding a life-like visual picture of wild serpents intertwining. Serpiente makes the perfectly unique typographic statement as shown in the music video for “Stay Right Here” directed by Maria Otter. The accompanying sans appears to be Petty Despot NF (Nick Curtis, 2011), an interpretation of Times Gothic.
