Spectacle (est. 2010) is an entirely volunteer-run micro-cinema in Brooklyn that focuses on programming overlooked works, offbeat gems, contemporary art, radical polemics, live performance and more.

As part of the ongoing production design, Benjamin Tuttle used his typeface Pastiche Grotesque for a limited release matchbook design, monthly pamphlets, and an embroidered baseball cap. Pastiche Grotesque is type design fan-fiction looking at late 19th century Gothics through the lens of mid-20th century Neo-grotesques. It hypothesizes what a Neo-grotesque might look like if lower contrast forefathers like Akzidenz or Venus didn’t exist.

Pastiche Grotesque is available for licensing through Order Type Foundry.
The theater’s burning S logo was originally designed by Troy Swain.
