Group: an anthology, edited by Jacob Potash, is a collection of images, interviews, poetry and fiction originally published in irregular weekly volumes by Nachleben throughout the fall and winter of 2020. Across its weeks and formats, the anthology sketches the shape of a group, of a time, of shared ideas, of difference, of friends.

The publication is set entirely in Untitled Serif (with the exception of the Nachleben logotype), a “quotidian” typeface, whose neutral defaultness supports the book’s many formats. In tension with this anonymous typeface is the book’s playful typesetting by Matt Vlach, with a variety of styles and sizes bringing variety to its rigid grid.

The Nachleben logo, also designed at Arcades, is set in Iowan Old Style with a roman capital and italic lower case.
