Parade is a typeface specially created by Thierry Fétiveau for Cercle magazine nº10 about “Parade”, the main topic of the annual magazine in 2022. Parade is used for the cover, openers, titles of the interviews, selections and quotes. A spread at the end of the magazine is dedicated to the font creation and how the designer has been inspired by the slab serif genre, the heavy characters with rectangular serifs that emerged with the industrial revolution in the mid-19th century. The standard typefaces used for the magazine are Suisse Int’l and Plantin.
