My freshly launched homeware brand Great Indoors uses a version of an alphabet named Unicum on page 24 of Arti Letter-Book 3: Fancy letters, published in Alkmaar in 1949. Originally drawn by Dutch lettering artist Martin Meijer, the bichromatic Art Deco design was turned into a digital font by Vladimir Nikolic in 2017. For use in the Great Indoors logo, however, I redrew the letterforms digitally myself. The use of these bold, geometric letters is intended to reflect the playful and geometric patterns produced for this companies robes and towels.

ITC Avant Garde Gothic presents an equally round and sleek compliment to the logo. This typeface has been used for the tags on both the robes and towels, but also for sub headers throughout the website. Headers for the various categories and pages of the site are set in Recoleta Alt Bold. The combination of these typefaces is intended to portray a modern, high-end brand with a playful nature and retro sensibilities.
