Logotype designed by Margo Chase for the 1999 television series Angel. The series is a spin-off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which Chase also designed the logo. The title sequence was designed by Regis B. Kimble. Promotional poster by an unknown designer.

Chase’s logotype for the series is based on the uppercase of Bernhard Modern, with sections removed. This appears to have been expanded and made into a custom font for use in the title sequence of the series. The G featured in the title sequence differs slightly from that seen in the logotype, with an extended stake-like spur that descends below the baseline. The end credits also feature Bernhard Modern in its more regular form. Additional text on the promotional poster is set in Missive.

  1. The bitstream edition consists of six file sets with a total of ten font styles, which means: a lot of work, but great results.
