Scarico is Italian for unload, exhaust, discharge. Scarico is also the title of an illustrated album by Demented Urania.

Starting with some words heard in the street or at the bar, capital letters printed in full black ink, Demented Urania pursues drawing with an unloaded marker, getting exhausted in the process of drawing, again and again those exhausted figures. But in the end, which one is the most Scarico; Demented, the marker, the reader, the print?

The paperback has 196 pages measuring 100×150 mm. It was Risograph printed in eight colors on Munken Print White at Oreri in Cagliari, Sardegna, and published in an edition of 350 copies by Beauroma Books, Rome. Lola Giffard-Bouvier made early use of Nuances, in a light weight from the condensed width.
