Moscow 1937 by Lion Feuchtwanger, German Jewish novelist and playwright, more prominently known for novels Jud Süß (Jew Suss) and The Oppermanns. This edition was published by the Viking Press and printed by the Vail-Ballou Press in Binghamton, New York, in 1937.

The cover uses just one typeface, Keynote, flush left in black and white, with a black band on the left hand side assumingly to mimic the look of a journal or notebook. Sadly, no designer credit can be found.

Personally, the ribbon-like movement of uppercase M and L drew me to the cover.
