The Olympic Museum is hosting an exhibition that shines a spotlight on the work of first-year photography students at Lausanne Cantonal Art School (ECAL). In the context of this Olympic year, and under the guidance of photographer Nicolas Haeni, the students explore the Games by immersing themselves in its diverse range of sports: fencing, table tennis, skateboarding, equestrian events, etc. Through photography and moving images, the young photographers offer a fresh and intriguing look at these sports, inviting us to go beyond simple performance in order to contemplate the beauty of the hidden details in each sport.

The chosen typeface for the title of the exhibition is Monaako (Altiplano). Monaako draws partly on the lettering of the Saint Raphaël liqueurs (Charles Loupot). It is characterized by a blend of calligraphic and geometric forms. Its liveliness makes it a good choice in the context of sports. Its structure, based on stems with orientations always being multiples of 15 degrees, allows for creating unexpected alignments and playful non-linear compositions.
