The first edition of Pauline Gedge’s Stargate, released in 1982 by Dial Press with a jacket design by Diane and Leo Dillon.
The title typeface is a rarely-seen Typositor original – namely, a modified version of True Gothic Bold; a flipped A was built from the ground up, likely by adjusting the N with an added bar. It’s paired with caps from Venus Extended for the name of the author, which VGC also adapted for that machine.
