Vetése is a young brand offering one unique product so far: a premium Olive Leaf Tea sourced from the trees of Residenza Cornino, an olive farm in Tuscany, Italy.
For their branding and the packaging of their tea, Göteborg-based designer Fredrik Gruber chose a minimalist palette of raw cardboard, brown craft paper and black only printing and embossing, emulating lead typography printing. Besides the custom drawn lettering of the logo, the only font used here is NaN Tresor, mostly in a single weight. These choices, together with the very early grotesque sources behind Tresor, give a strong taste of retro (understand first half of the 20th century) to the brand, rooting it in a tradition of craftmanship. The lettering of the logo is the only cue denoting a more contemporary production.
