Almost an entire font catalog on an album cover! This 1973 record compilation of UK television show theme music features at least 14 unique typefaces, each a logotype of a different TV program.

I see Bookman Bold Swash, Stop, Amelia… and a bunch more that I look forward to learning about. The title in particular is one I don’t think I’ve seen before.

  1. Thanks for this contribution, Jason!

I have added a number of additional typefaces.

The logos for Upstairs, Downstairs and Black Beauty strike me as custom drawn, and not based on a typeface.
Ironside is Compacta, but with custom stencil bridges.
Alias Smith & Jones appears to be Playbill, but with an A featuring a top serif. Such a glyph is included in Bitstream’s digitization.
Country Matters is Caslon 471 Italic with swash capitals.
The squarish face used for “Favourite TV Themes” looks familiar, but its name is eluding me right now. The accompanying geometric sans is Letraset’s Dempsey.
