Davison Psyche was designed by Meyer “Dave” Davison and issued by Photo-Lettering in 1968 [N. Peterson] together with Davison Psycho, a related style with slightly different, even unrulier letterforms.
Adopted by Mecanorma as Contest in or before 1969, but not included in their 1973 catalog. Digitized under that name (used for the sample). Some glyphs (‘B’) are either different or were included in PLINC’s version as alternates.
Shown in Dan X. Solo’s Moderne Alphabets (1999) as Leonard. In addition to Mecanorma’s official digitization, there’s also Nueva Passion (Iconian, 2013) and Flea Market (BC, 2013).
