Sign spotted on Boelckestraße in Berlin-Tempelhof. The logo uses Dektiv Double, designed by Peter Steiner for Berthold Fototypes in 1975. The e with the flat bottom has a similarly puzzled look as the one in Steiner’s Black Pepper. In 2011, Nick Curtis made a digital revival of the bi-line face, based on a showing in Homage to the Alphabet. The digital version is named Decked Out NF.

Alliance first appeared in the telephone directory of 1988/1989 as Gebäudereinigung (commercial cleaning). In the 1990/1991 issue, the entry was changed to Reinigungsbedarf (cleaning equipment). Chances are this sign dates back to the early 1990s.
